Vision and Mission of Xa Loi Temple
Meditation Center

The land and temple are a spiritual oasis meant to be a place of peace and healing for all people. The spiritual foundation of the temple is Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhism, with monks, nuns, and Hanh Su’s (Lay ministers) who daily maintain the monastic practices of meditation and prayer.  It has been Master Bao Thanh’s vision to have the temple be a community center where all can share in the traditions of the temple, but also bring the community's gifts and practices of healing body, mind and spirit. In the Buddha’s teachings, there are no divisions, when we share our compassion and wisdom, we are sharing our Buddha nature, and Bodhisattva vows to help all sentient beings.

Thất Bảo Huyền MônThe Seven Jewels Mystical Gate
Thất Bảo Huyền Môn is a meditation method taught by Thích Bảo Thành that harmonizes breath, body, and mind. Rooted in Buddhist wisdom and inspired by traditional contemplative practices, the method combines mindful breathing, gentle energy awareness, sacred mantra recitation, and compassion meditation to support both healing and spiritual awakening.
At the heart of the practice are the Seven Jewels Mantras, including traditional sounds such as Mu A Mu Sa and Ma Sa Op Ue, which are used to cultivate loving-kindness, clarity, and inner stability. Through regular practice, these teachings help practitioners awaken the wisdom and compassion already present within the heart.
Master Bao Thanh is the Lineage Holder, and offers in person workshops, and online teaching.  His Students, Monks, Nuns, and Hanh Su's who have recieved this lineage are also authorized teachers of the Seven Jewels Mantras.  For more information on the lineage click here
