Non-Judment as CompassionOpening & Introduction Compassion is often thought of as kindness or care. But there is another doorway into compassion: non-judgment. When we stop dividing the world into “good” and “bad,” “worthy” and “unworthy,” we create space for love to flow freely. Non-judgment is like opening a window—suddenly, fresh air can move where before it was blocked. To practice compassion through non-judgment is to see all beings, including ourselves, with gentleness and understanding. Story: Without Notice Story of My Nephew who moved out without notice from the apartment I was renting him. The Master telling me the practice of non-judgement. No need to teach lessons, forgiveness, understanding, non-judgement, learning to look more deeply at the causes and conditions underneath the actions of others with eyes of compassion and wisdom. We are all operating from habitual patterns in our lives. If suffering keeps coming to us, we need to look more closely at what leads to our suffering. If we keep pointing outside of ourselves, we will never see how we contributed to creating the situations of suffering, and then we can never become free. I think what the master was trying to teach was when we become the judge, jury, and punishers, those people can keep pointing outside themselves and not see their patterns. We also need to use compassion on ourselves. Wherever we are in our current circumstances, whether positive or negative, painful or peaceful, is a culmination of the actions and decisions we have made in our lives (or many lives). We can break free from the judging and learn to look at ourselves with compassion. Who I was is no longer who I am now. I am free to be a new being by living right now in the present, letting go of judgment, and receiving compassion. That is the meaning of MU A MU SA – that enveloping compassion, which meets us right here in this present moment. Guided Meditation: Non-Judgment Breathing & Mantra Posture: Sit comfortably, spine tall and relaxed. Close your eyes. Take a slow breath in through the nose… and a gentle breath out through the mouth. Allow the body to settle. Breath Awareness: Bring your attention to the rhythm of your breathing. Let each inhale be soft, each exhale a release. Mantra Breathing: Inhale deeply into the belly. Chant 3x: Mu A Mu Sa. Practice of Non-Judgment
Closing: Rest for a few breaths in this spaciousness of non-judgment. When ready, slowly open your eyes, carrying this gentle heart into your day. Musical ReflectionSong: Carefree In Life
The passing wind leaves nothing behind, The flowing stream holds to no shape. One who is at ease, entangled by nothing, Lives with an open heart, boundless and free. Good or evil—only drifting clouds; Sunshine or rain cannot sway this heart. Understanding deeply, no words are needed, The light of wisdom blossoms within. The wind blows—I hear the wind. The rain falls—I see the rain. The mind at peace in the present moment-- A carefree flower blooms in life. One gentle breath of peace, One bright smile arising. All things come and all things go, Only love remains. The wind blows—I hear the wind. The rain falls—I see the rain. The mind at peace in the present moment-- A carefree flower blooms in life.
