Master Thich Bao Thanh is the Sixth successor of the Compassion Meditation Method "That Bao Huyen Mon" from the Seven Spirit Mountains in Vietnam near the Cambodian Border. As the Abbot of Xa Loi Temple, and the Linage holder of this tradition, Monks, Nuns, or Hanh Su who have been trained by Master Bao Thanh and who abide by the guidelines and mission of his teaching, have been given the authority to teach at Xa Loi Temple Meditation Center.

The Meditation Practice of Xa Loi Temple is grounded in the That Bao Huyen Mon Meditation Method - In this practice we combine traditional breathing meditation and mindfulness meditation with mantras for the healing of body, mind and spirit. These mantras activate the power within each of us to transform our suffering.

Sunday Mornings: 8:30 - 9:00 AM - Meditation Practice Time
Fascilitated by Hanh Su, Eileen Dolan This session is another opportunity to practice meditation in a community. We use the Mantra's of That Bao Huyen Mon, and receive some guidance and much communal support. (Chanting Sutra's and Mantras follows immediately after the Sunday morning Meditation practice from. 9:00 - 10:00 AM for those who are interested.) Lead by Hanh-Su Bao , Eileen Dolan This is a great class if you have always wanted to learn more about the teaching of the Buddha and how to practice meditation.
